Diaconal research

The Department of Diaconal Studies, Church Music and Theology is concerned with developing church welfare work as a field of knowledge, to some extent in collaboration with other researchers at the university college.

The department’s researchers are also interested in fields
such as the professional identity of deacons (lay welfare workers), modern Swedish ecclesiastical history, faith and belonging, forgiveness, and health care ethics and view of man. A number of papers on this theme have been published.
