Anna has a postdoctoral position in the research project aCent - a model for person-centered care and support, which aims to develop and implement a model for person-centered systematic support interventions in allogeneic stem cell transplantation, and to evaluate how the model affects patients 'and family carers' quality of life. The model is developed from theories, previous research and clinical experience and includes studies that have already been done in the research projects PerCent and Hold on. If the study shows that the model improves the quality of life of patients and family carers, the hope is that it can be used at all clinics that perform stem cell transplants in Sweden. The project is a collaboration between Karolinska University Hospital, Skåne University Hospital, Lund University, Linnaeus University, Marie Cederschiöld University, Sophiahemmets University and Karolinska Institutet, with funding from the Blood Cancer Foundation and the Sjöberg Foundation.
Anna also conducts further research within the project Aspects of quality and equality in care during the last three months of life for people with advanced illness – bereaved family members’ perspective. The project has a retrospective survey design where the survey VOICES (SF) (Views of Informal Carers-Evaluation of Services) has been answered by 485 bereaved family members of people with advanced illness, who died in one of four chosen hospitals in two healthcare regions in Sweden. VOICES (SF) contains questions about important aspects of palliative care in several different care places.
