For children and young people

All children and young people must be protected against all forms of violence, injury and abuse, says the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which is law in Sweden.

No one may hit, exploit or prey on you. We researchers work to prevent this from happening, and if it does happen, we want to make sure that children and young people who are vulnerable get good help!

What does a researcher actually do? When you hear the word researcher, you might think of someone in a white coat tinkering with test tubes? There are such researchers, but there are also other researchers who focus on living conditions for children and adults. Those are the types of researchers who work in this program on violence. We talk to children, young people and adults. We read in books, write and talk about our research in reports, articles and films that we will publish here and on YouTube.
