Work area

Dr. Bos Sparén has a background as a district nurse and operations manager in primary care. Her teaching areas are public health and clinical training, and she is also active within the fields of health care ethics and philosophy of science.

Research area
Dr. Bos Sparén earned her PhD in November 2014 at Karolinska Institute. The overall aim of the thesis was to identify factors in the clinical learning environment within the context of primary care facilities, based on the perspective of nursing students and their supervisors.

Other assignments
Dr. Bos Sparén serves as a Care Expert Nurse in the General Medical Council and the Nursing Council, which are part of Stockholm County Council. As such Dr. Bos Sparén follows the developments in the area from a holistic perspective, in regard of care development and nursing issues. She also develops / reviews / disseminates guidelines, and partakes in current research.
