Arbetsområden

Ulrikas forskning omfattar ”Barnet och familjen i den palliativa vården”.
Syftet med forskningen är att förbättra omhändertagandet av barn i den palliativa vården och att minska risken för psykisk ohälsa på kort och lång sikt hos barn och övriga familjemedlemmar. Främst handlar detta om att identifiera undvikbara och påverkbara faktorer i vården och inom familjen. Forskningen omfattar barn med livshotande sjukdom och deras familjer samt barn som närstående när en förälder är svårt sjuk eller avlidit. Forskningen bedrivs i nationellt och internationellt samarbete.

Ulrika har sedan 2014 Gålöstiftelsens professur i palliativ vård av barn och unga vid Marie Cederschiöld högskola och inom ramen för den driver hon forskningsprojekt, handleder och undervisar.
